| I don't know where this vendor was located but it could well have been in Naha. The Miralce Mile (a 1.6km long major shopping venue) in Naha, known as Kokusai Dori, grew out of the wetlands outside of Naha. Following the devastation and destruction of Naha in WWII many former Naha residents were forced to relocate into those wetlands. Gradually it came to be known as a haven for the black market trade. It's difficult to guess what these vendors were selling. |
