After a grueling day at the clinic it was (almost) always a pleasure to jump in the van and head home - to Aza-oki, Yomitan-son!
Perched on the side of a gentle slope with a park up the hill behind my house and Shinjyo-san's goats in an enclosure just about in my back yard, it was always fun (unless it was raining) to take in the sights of the townsfolk - every day would tell a different story...

This set of photos and commentary was done back in 1998.
I've left these "Take the Tour" sets for nostalgic purposes.
A LOT more about Yomitan can be found throughout my website.
Go back to HOME and type "Yomitan" in the search field.

One of my favorites is my 2015 trip to Okinawa, the year in which my focus was on the Yomitan Peninsula

Meanwhile, scroll down this page and click "Take the Tour" to see this legacy presentation of Yomitan from 1998.
