Ichariba chode (Uchinaguchi phrase meaning "Now that we have met we are family")
I understood when Namihira-san said "Mensooree", the Uchinaguchi word meaning "Welcome"
but it took me a while to understood that he was saying Irasshaimase. It is a Japanese word
roughly translated a means of expressing a welcoming invitation to someone such as to take part or,
perhaps more frequently, welcoming someone into a place of business.
This little restaurant is owned and operated by Namihira, his wife and daughter. Dancing at the end!
