Sonohyan-utaki is a sacred place located to the west of Shurei-mon, the main gate to Shuri-jo. Sonohyan-utaki Ishimon is a stone gate constructed by King Sho Shin, the third king of the Second Sho Dynasty, and it leads us to the forest called Sonohyan-utaki.
