Shuri-jo in 2014-15
The Bridge of Nations Bell was cast of bronze in 1458 and hung before the Seiden Main Hall of Shuri-jo. Its inscription means, "Located between Korea, China and Japan, the Kingdom of the Ryukyus is a beautiful nation in the southern seas. With its ships, the Kingdom serves as a bridge between the nations, and thus abounds with exotic products and treasures." These words express the proud spirit that filled the oceanic kingdom.
