Rob Oechsle's visit with Yonamine-san
Manneng "Man Cave" in old Bucknerville

by Rob Oechsle A "MANNENG HOUSE" MAN CAVE in OLD BUCKNERVILLE -- A Special Peek inside Every Woman's Nightmare Mr. Yonamine would not let me into his living fossil of an off-base American house. However, this youthful "CEO" of a Japanese Bar & Grill (down in Naha's Matsuyama night-life district) did take my daughter's camera inside, and while I waited outside on the grass, he shot pics of his Man Cave for me, giving full permission to post them here. With original glazing, cracking window caulk, a leaky roof, and minimal repairs or maintenance, it was a beautiful wonder to behold ! Cheers !

![]() Nice Shutter Hinge ! Great to see that detail survived. Also on a great technical note, the chunk of fallen cement from above the window shows exactly the size of wood used for the window framing. ![]()
