It had been many years since I'd visited Nakijin Castle and the last time I was there the museum didn't exist - at least not a museum such as presently stands. I spent so much time in the museum, and having completely lost track of time, that when I was ready to leave the curator had to unlock the door to let me out! She had elected to not "bother" me with closing time announcements, etc. The courtesy was overwhelming once I recognized it. By the time that I departed it was too late to visit the castle ruins so went back another day for that.
