I visited this cave March 26th with Takayama Atsuko, an archaeologist with whom I have seen other sites on Okinawa Island. This was my first time seeing this cave that is on Yabuchishima. When we went on the 26th, at least two things prevented me from exploring any further than just the entrance: I was wearing Crocs and didn't have a light source. So I went back today, March 27th and checked it out. This video is a conflation of both days. I was told that Yabuchi Island is called "Cat Island" by the locals because so many people who are tired of their cat(s) will release them on the island to fend for themselves. Sad.
